Children’s worship classes
The Biggest Story Curriculum takes kids on an exciting journey through the Bible, from the garden of Eden to the return of Christ, drawing them into Scripture and helping them grasp its overarching message of God’s redemption of HIs people.
What did kids learn on Sunday?
Children’s Worship kicked off for the new school year with kids stepping up to classes based on their new grades. Sunday was also our first day extending these classes to Grade 5!
To help kids acclimate to new classrooms and peer groups and get excited for what they will earn this year, classes spent time on Sunday getting to know one another and also previewing the new curriculum materials. Kids completed their own “About Me” page which they then shared with the rest of the class. Students’ “About Me” pages will be posted in the classroom as a way for all teachers on the team to get to know the students as the year progresses. Feel free to stop by class anytime to check these out! Kids and teachers also enjoyed a special snack together to celebrate the start of the new school year. (Note, a snack will not be served in class each week.)
Classes will begin The Biggest Story Curriculum next Sunday starting with the first lesson on Genesis 1. This school year, classes will cover lessons from the entire Old Testament, seeing how each bible story points to Jesus, our Lord and Savior! Both classes will cover the same Bible story each week, though at a level and depth geared to each age group.
